Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is most famous for her starring role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the end of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has stated that she participates in Passover seders.
