Catherine Anne

Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born March 4 1954 is an actress from Canada. O'Hara is the recipient of several awards, including an award called a Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was appointed an Officer of Canada. She also received the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara first drew notice as an actor in the year 1974 when she was she was a part of The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. Together with John Candy, O'Hara was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara was a part of Candy in the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984). The show received the attention of critics both for her writing and acting skills and was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award, 1981 for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert. Also included were Dwayne Colbert (Steve Carell), Tina Fey and Keegan Michael Key, as well as Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows. Suzy Nakamura. Sam Richardson. Jeff Richmond. Jason Sudeikis.
